About Avlea Folk Embroidery

Avlea Folk Embroidery was born out of my love for historic Mediterranean folk embroidery. I'm Krista West and I design embroidery and cross stitch kits with specialty imported fabrics and historical color palettes for an authentic folk embroidery experience. Beginners and experienced stitchers love my kits for their unique designs, high quality materials, and easy-to-read patterns.

Each of my designs is inspired by a historic source from my personal collection of vintage textiles and my research in Greece. I particularly love how folk embroidery is meant to be used! Many stitchers have come to value Avlea kits because they can create a textile they will treasure in their daily life.
