This Delias Timorensis has been hand set in our museum quality glass bell jar and shows the species in a natural perched position in a scenery designed to represent the natural habitat the butterfly can be found in.

Our Still Life series offers a glimpse into the fascinating world of insects, demonstrating the incredible diversity and charming idiosyncrasies of these wonderful animals. Curated by our in-house entomologists, each piece is designed and handcrafted to reflect the natural behaviour of the insect in life, creating a snapshot in time from the archives of nature.

All of our display cases use museum grade 99% UV blocking conservation glass to preserve our specimens, and are supported by an eco-friendly cork base.

All of our specimens are ethically sourced from conservation projects around the world and help to support local communities and protect natural habitats.

Special packaging notice: While Persephone's Hearth does its best to use eco-friendly packaging, some of our suppliers ship their inventory in non-sustainable packaging. Due to the delicate nature of this item, we feel it's best to use the styrofoam casing that was provided by the supplier to ship this product. Apart from that, please be assured that the rest of our packaging is eco friendly.
