Hi I’m Kate, your new watercolor bestie and owner of Splatter & Bloom! Let me be the first to welcome you into the wild and wonderful world of watercolor.

If I’m not painting up a storm, you can find me chasing after my two tiny humans who are probably jumping in puddles.

A few of my favorite things are coffee, flowers, books, rain, parenthetical phrases, wearing slippers to work, color explosions, and overuse of exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!

I started Splatter & Bloom after I had my daughter as a way to carve out some me-time. What started as a hobby quickly escalated into a full blown business. This is a family business where I wear the hats of watercolor artist, educator, social media queen, and big time dreamer. Andy, my husband, is the digital designer, shipping guru, and (perhaps most importantly) the house barista!
